The Snapdragon 670 features an eight-core design and is still a large and small core design, including two Kryo 360 (A75-based) high-performance cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz and six Kryo 360 (A55-based) energy-efficient cores at 1.7 GHz. . Qualcomm claims to increase its CPU performance by 15% over the previous generation.
The GPU aspect has been upgraded from the previous Adreno 512 to the Adreno 615, resulting in a 25% improvement in rendering performance. However, the overall performance is slightly lower than that of the Snapdragon 710 Adreno 616.
Others include the Spectra 250 ISP (maximum support for 25 megapixel single-shot and 16 megapixel dual-camera solutions) and the Hexagn 685 DSP, which integrates the X12 LTE baseband solution to support up to 600 Mbps downstream and 150 Mbps upstream.
At the same time, Qualcomm announced that 670 has begun to ship, and has not yet seen the exposure of products using Snapdragon 670. However, as the successor of the Snapdragon 660, we will often see it on the mid-end products.
